Council Member

Ward I, Post 1

Council Member Tinley was
appointed to office in May of 1992
to fell the unexpired term of Mr.
Frank Williams who resigned to run
for County Commissioner.  He was
elected in 1996 and reelected in
2000. Council Member Tinley
serves as Chairperson of Utilities.
James (Chick) Jones
Vice-Mayor/Council Member

Ward II, Post 5

Council Member Jones was
elected to office in 1995 and
started his term in January
1996.  He served until he resign
in 2003 to run for Mayor.  Jones
was reelected in 2005 and serve
as Chairperson of
Housing/Recreation/CDBG.
 Richard H. Byne
Council Member

Ward I, Post 4

Council Member Byne was appointed
to office in October of 1995 to fill
the un-expired term of Mayor Dolin
who resigned to run for the office of
Mayor. He was elected to the office
in 1998.  Council Member Byne
serves as Chairperson of the Public
Safety.
 Curtis  L. Bell
Council  Member

Ward III, Post 6

Council Member Bell was elected
to office in 1998. He serves as
Chairperson of the Public Works.
Willie R. Williams
Council Member

Ward III, Post 3

Council Member Williams
elected to office in 2004.  He
serves as Chairperson of
Beautification/Cemetery/Street
Lights.

City Manager



City Administrator Coalson was
apppointed to the position in March
of 2002.  He served as Assistant City
Administrator and Accountant for 6  
year prior to the appointment.
